THANKS to all of you for continuing to be so
supportive of our team. Parents and other caring adults have
provided through donated time, caring, and energy:
- a total of $1300 in cash donations
- fundraising ideas which led to an additional $1100
- 4 start/finish boards
- our competition table
- a grant for one of the NXT kits
- two donated NXT kits
- donated programming stations
- snacks for all our practices
- pizzas and individual lunches for our long days
- taxi cab service to the multitude of practices!
Special thanks to:
- County consultant Dr. Dan Michael, who brings a science
activity to our team every year to match the theme of the
challenge, and for sharing his experience as a scientist.
- Parent Dr. Roger Kimmel, who brought his science and
engineering expertise to this team yesterday, and who encouraged
me years ago to bring LEGO Robotics to Carlisle.
- Parents Holly and Shane Birch who sought out and followed up
on corporate donations of computer programming stations for our
team.
- Parent Shawna Newkirk, who gave time last Saturday to help
our team members write thank you letters, and who arranged for
Mike Terwilliger's visit.
- Meagan Engle of the Middletown Journal who covers
our team's efforts each year, even following us to competition
last year to state competition.
- Principal Dave Starkey, CLSD transportation, and the
district in general for supporting our team's efforts.
- Parents who consistently provide support and encouragement
by conversation, emails and phone calls.
- Parents who support the team by acts, deeds, and donations!
