Thank You!

THANKS to all of you for continuing to be so supportive of our team. Parents and other caring adults have provided through donated time, caring, and energy:
  • a total of $1300 in cash donations
  • fundraising ideas which led to an additional $1100
  • 4 start/finish boards
  • our competition table
  • a grant for one of the NXT kits
  • two donated NXT kits
  • donated programming stations
  • snacks for all our practices
  • pizzas and individual lunches for our long days
  • taxi cab service to the multitude of practices!
Special thanks to:
  • County consultant Dr. Dan Michael, who brings a science activity to our team every year to match the theme of the challenge, and for sharing his experience as a scientist.
  • Parent Dr. Roger Kimmel, who brought his science and engineering expertise to this team yesterday, and who encouraged me years ago to bring LEGO Robotics to Carlisle.
  • Parents Holly and Shane Birch who sought out and followed up on corporate donations of computer programming stations for our team.
  • Parent Shawna Newkirk, who gave time last Saturday to help our team members write thank you letters, and who arranged for Mike Terwilliger's visit.
  • Meagan Engle of the Middletown Journal who covers our team's efforts each year, even following us to competition last year to state competition.
  • Principal Dave Starkey, CLSD transportation, and the district in general for supporting our team's efforts.
  • Parents who consistently provide support and encouragement by conversation, emails and phone calls.
  • Parents who support the team by acts, deeds, and donations!

On behalf of the team, on behalf of Mrs. Griffin, and on my own behalf, THANKS to all of you for all you do to support our Carlisle LEGO Robotics Hotshots team!
