Downloadable Notes from Mrs. Nettling

These downloadable notes, letters, or forms are provided whenever possible by Mrs. Nettling, who fondly remembers being the working parent of three young sons (now young men) who often didn't make it home with their notes from school. We may also save a tree!

Math Facts Practice Calendars 2009-10

Students who have not yet mastered their math facts are required to practice independently at home 200 minutes per month and log it on their calendar. The operation that students target is determined by how they do on the timed facts tests given in class. Those tests come home in the "Take Home Folder", along with a letter to parents. Students must continue to work only on their targeted operation until given the okay to move to a new target.

Independent Reading Calendars 2009-2010

Students are required to read independently 400 minutes per month (400 minutes = B; 500 minutes = A) and log it on their calendar. What a student reads is up to them. It can be novels, magazines, reference books, comic books, or newspapers. Once per grading period, each student must read a book from the "Required Four" reading list and do a project on it.
