Math Facts Practice Calendars 2011-12

Students who have not yet mastered their math facts must practice independently at home at least 200 minutes per month and log it on their calendar. I assign their target operation based on how they do on the timed facts tests given in class. Those tests come home in the "Take Home Folder", along with a letter to parents that indicates each child's TARGET operation. Students must continue to work only on their targeted operation until given the okay to move to a new target. Knowing facts help students feel confident with problem-solving at higher levels, and decreases the increased time and frustration that can result from not knowing them.
